Challr has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards say what is not allowed, how to report it, and what we do when we receive a report.
Who can use Challr
Challr is for people aged 16 and over. Every account is created by signing in with Apple or Google.
What is not allowed
Anywhere in Challr — challenges, proof, messages, profile photos and anonymous dares — you may not post, send, request or dare anyone to do anything that:
- sexualises a minor, or shows, describes or links to child sexual abuse material;
- grooms, solicits or attempts to contact a minor for sexual purposes;
- threatens, pressures or blackmails anyone with sexual images (sextortion);
- promotes or facilitates the trafficking or exploitation of children.
How to report
- In the app: every person and every dare has a visible Report & block control. We review every report within 24 hours.
- By email: write to support@challrapp.com. Say what you saw and, if you can, which challenge, person or dare it was. Do not attach or forward illegal images.
What we do
- Block straight away. A person you report & block leaves your people, anything still open between you is cancelled, and they cannot add you or send you a challenge again. Whoever sent a reported dare is blocked from Challr.
- Review within 24 hours. A person reviews every report.
- Remove and ban. Content that breaks these standards is removed and the account behind it is terminated.
- Report to the authorities. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant regional and national authorities, as the law requires, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
Contact
Our designated child safety contact is Challr Labs, which can be reached at support@challrapp.com. Law enforcement requests go to the same address.
